Aldwick, and the surrounding areas
Whilst The Royal Garden Hotel is situated in a quiet area there are many local
amenities. For example, the magnificent Marine Park Gardens right outside the Hotel.
These gardens are beautifully maintained and particularly during the spring and
summer are a riot of glorious colour and scents. There is a large putting green, and
convenient bench seating every 50 yards or so.
There are no hills in Aldwick or Bognor Regis so walking, using wheel chairs or
battery cars is particularly easy.
The Promenade, beach and sea are just the other side of Marine Park Gardens. The
Promenade, leading into the Town centre has many seats and shelters and is
marvellous for a leisurely stroll on a fine day.
By the way, Bognor Regis has one of the highest sunshine records in the country.
The Regis Centre offering theatre, tea dances, cafeteria and licensed bar. The Town
Centre with cinema, railway station and a variety of shopping facilities. Hotham Park with its museum and miniature railway. Bognor Regis Yacht
Club which welcomes social members. The Pier with amusements and children’s rides
etc.
Many local clubs and societies catering for a variety of interests, The Labumum
Club, a day activity centre, which offers a wide range of facilities for the pursuit of
hobbies etc. Then there’s Chichester, with its splendid Cathedral, Ancient Cross,
beautiful gardens and parks, world renowned Festival Theatre and large shopping area
Beyond the immediate area of Aldwick itself are many attractions.
Here are just a few
which may interest you:
Pagham Bird Sanctuary.
Horse Racing and Motor Sports at Goodwood.
