About the Hotel

In addition to permanent residence, we also offer holiday or convalescent accommodation.

Located in Aldwick, to the west of Bognor Regis, the Royal Garden Hotel stands on the corner of Princess Avenue and King’s Parade with access through the gardens to the sea 150 yards away.

The hotel is modern and designed specifically for its purpose by Colin Lindsell and still run by the family, offering high standards of comfort and convenience for its residents.

The hotel is situated on four floors, all served by lift and stairs. The main sitting room is located on the top floor giving superb views over the Marine Park Gardens to the promenade and sea.

Our spacious restaurant-style dining room is situated on the ground floor and also serves as a function room for day and evening entertainment. We place special emphasis on the role of food and diet in the daily care of our residents. Our chefs provide a quality menu, changed daily, which is both nutritious and varied. Special diets can be catered for by arrangement.

The hotel has its own gardens with paved walks between raised beds, these are planted with a variety of flowers and aromatic herbs.

The Royal Garden is registered with the Care Quality Commission as a Residential Care Home for 36 people.

Royal Garden Hotel, Bognor Regis

“At the age of 82, still healthy, living on my own and not wishing to be a trouble in the future to good friends and neighbours, I realised I had a decision to make. I knew of the Royal Garden Hotel as I had lived in that area for many years, after helpful discussions with the hotel management I eventually sold my home and moved into a very nice room, newly furnished and big enough to bring some items of furniture etc.

I felt ‘at home’ from the start thanks to the management being on hand to help and advise and also to the wonderful staff who are always so caring and friendly. There are many activities if you wish to join in or just relax in the top lounge admiring the unrivalled sea views. It was a big decision to make but I have no regrets.”
